Properties: General tonic, rejuvenating, nervine, sedative, adaptogen, immuno-modulator, anti-tumour, anti-inflammatory, astringent, anti-depressant, aphrodisiac.  Ashwaganda root is often used to help strengthen the immune system after illness.

Use: Tea, tincture, decoction.

Precautions: Caution if sensitive to other plants in the nightshade family.
